Bergé is a leading logistics operator in transport services and solutions, with more than 150 years of existence, and a leader in the Spanish market. Integrating the entire value chain to transport and manage the logistics of all types of goods and products, delivering them to their destination on time and in perfect condition, with significant cost savings, designing turnkey projects and tailor-made solutions.
What led you to implement Lean in your company?
At Bergé, we needed to give a boost to improving the efficiency of the way we work, but in a methodical way, ensuring all the knowledge that had brought us to that point.
What have you achieved thanks to Lean?
We now have a way of working more focused on objectives, indicators and action plans, aligned with the company’s strategy, confirming that it is people who make the difference between companies.
What was the key moment of the project?
I believe there were two key moments in the project: the initial presentation by Miguel Ángel Giménez to our Port Directors Committee, and when we “mapped out” what would become the Bergé Management System based on Lean methodology.
Why did you choose us?
We chose SGS Productivity for two reasons: they offered us methodology and autonomy, and also the personal and professional level of the team they made available to us.

After so many years since we started this journey (2015), people still remember the name LeanSis and the consultants who participated.

People are what make companies different. Not using their ability to think is the greatest loss for a company.
