What the certification entails
The certificate attests that the candidate has received training and acquired the knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience required in LEAN MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGY and SIX SIGMA.
SGS, acting as an independent third-party organization, will serve as the certifying body in compliance with ISO 18404:2017.
This individual certification constitutes formal professional recognition of competencies and skills within the certification framework of ISO 18404:2017.
It provides organizations, institutions, and enterprises with confidence in the certified competencies defined by the standard.
Furthermore, it ensures certified professionals an impartial validation of their qualifications, thereby offering a clear differentiator in the labor market.
Each certification is issued with a unique registration number that can be verified through the official certification registry.
This number may also be added to your LinkedIn profile under “Licenses & Certifications.” Simply enter your certification title, select SGS as the issuing entity, specify dates of issuance and validity, include your certificate number, and insert the URL to the SGS International Certification Services Ibérica registry.
Levels
Green Belt in Lean Management
Lean Practitioner level / Lean users with the knowledge to lead improvement projects using Lean tools within their local work environment.
Black Belt in Lean Management
Lean Leader / Promoter level, with the competence to train and support Lean Green Belts in applying Lean tools.
Green Belt in Six Sigma
Lead small Six Sigma projects within your functional area and apply structured improvement methods effectively.
Black Belt in Six Sigma
Qualified to provide guidance, lead projects, and promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and recommending enhancements throughout the organization.
The Lean Six Sigma certification integrates the corresponding levels of each methodology.
Cetification process
From training to sustaining your ISO 18404 certification.
Training
Enrollment in Lean and Six Sigma training grants participants a diploma or certificate of achievement for each course, as well as eligibility to take the ISO certification exam.
Final Project and Certification Fees
Upon submission and validation of the final project, the corresponding certificate will be issued. This certificate, together with payment of the certification fees, grants the ISO 18404 certification. The certification will also be listed in the public SGS certification registry, accessible online.
Exam
Upon passing the corresponding examinations, participants receive diplomas or certificates of completion that confirm the acquisition of the knowledge required for ISO certification.
Maintenance
Maintaining certification requires payment of an annual fee. Renewal of the ISO certification registry is also contingent upon submission of evidence confirming the completion of improvement projects that validate correct application of the methodology.
