They had spent weeks in a leadership program. PowerPoints, role plays, group exercises… and not a single real improvement in their day-to-day work.

This is what literally happened:

How is the training going? Very well, very interesting.

What has changed in your company since the course started? Silence.

One of them, brave and spontaneous, reflected what everyone was thinking: “Nothing. We’ve learned a lot, but we’re still doing the same.” That sentence stayed with me.

Because it sums up the problem with typical training in a single line: you learn a lot… but you change little.

The false promise of learning

For years, the market has been flooded with courses, Master’s programs, and trainings that sell change. But change cannot be taught. It must be trained. And that is the mistake: confusing learning with applying.

And here’s a fact: 80% of corporate training programs never generate real impact.

Not because people don’t want to improve, but because no one gives them a method, a context, and the support to do so.

In the end, it all stays as pretty theory, some role-plays, and motivational phrases that fade away when Monday comes and you return to work. But… what about transferring it to the job?

What we learned in 20 years (and over 1,000 companies)

At SGS Productivity, we have spent over 20 years training, supporting, and transforming teams across all kinds of sectors.

And of one thing we are absolutely convinced: Knowledge without a method is useless. And a method without action is useless too. That’s why our trainings were not born in a classroom.

They were born in the field. In factories that needed to eliminate waste. In offices where inefficiency cost hours and energy. In sales teams that wanted to sell without burning out. In HR departments that aimed to lead with purpose.

From there, the SGS Productivity Schools emerged. Not as just another service, but as a necessity to transform the teams that make up the companies we support in their improvement.

As a natural evolution of two decades teaching companies to truly improve, to exchange challenges with other businesses, and to learn from expert consultants and peers from similar companies. All real. Zero textbook theories.

What makes training with a method different

There are three things that completely change the results when it comes to training:

1️. A proven method. Without a method, everything depends on the enthusiasm of the day. With a method, results are not a coincidence: they are a consequence.

2. A real experience. Nuestros formadores no repiten teorías de manual. Son consultores que transforman empresas a diario y que enseñan lo que hacen, no lo que leyeron.

3. Immediate application. Every concept has a purpose. Every activity has a measurable result. Because if it can’t be applied, it’s useless.

And this is how we ensure that teams not only learn, but change the way they work.

The SGS Productivity Schools: the place where knowledge turns into results

We call them “Schools” because they go far beyond ordinary training. They are spaces where learning is experienced, measured, and improved.

Each School — Lean Manufacturing, Lean Office, Lean Logistics, Lean Sales Booster, Lean Management, Leadership, Problem Solving, Advanced Quality, Agility — is a pillar of the same system:

An ecosystem of continuous improvement that connects knowledge with action, and action with results. Because productivity, leadership, or well-being are not taught with a presentation. They are created with method, guidance, and consistency.

That is what makes a company not only know more, but also work better.

True transformation

The most powerful thing about seeing a team change isn’t the theory they absorb. It’s when, three months later, someone tells you:

“Now we no longer react to the problem. We solve it with method.” That sentence is worth more than any diploma. Because there lies the essence of training that truly transforms:

Not in what it teaches, but in what it changes. Training is not about filling minds. It’s about aligning mindsets. Moving from improvisation to method. From disorder to system. From intention to results.

Final reflection

The companies that will grow in the coming years will not be the ones that invest the most in training.

They will be the ones that train differently. The ones that understand that real learning is not about knowing, but about doing better. The ones that distinguish between training created with ChatGPT and real training—training born from experience, training that solves real problems with real examples.

At SGS Productivity, we’ve spent two decades proving that training doesn’t just transmit knowledge, it turns it into results.

Our training doesn’t teach.
It transforms.

Upcoming Schools February 2026: Lean Training | Business Optimization Courses

Rosa Gorriz, P.
