Based in Fuentesa\u00faco (Zamora), they combine artisanal know-how with the dedication of their shepherds and farmers. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the second generation\u2014Sara, her sister, and the children of the founding partner\u2014now leading the company, the need arose to take a leap forward: to professionalise management without losing the soul of the business. That\u2019s when they saw Lean as an opportunity to structure growth, improve processes, and strengthen team engagement. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From pilot to a culture of improvement<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lean system was first implemented in two key areas of the plant: packaging and shipping. The aim was to see fast, tangible results\u2014and they did. The success of this first step led to expanding the model across the entire production plant, the admin department, and, more recently, the company\u2019s strategic level.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the biggest achievements has been achieving real engagement from the team. Even though some departments\u2014like marketing and sales\u2014haven\u2019t formally started implementation, the Lean mindset is already spreading throughout the organisation. \u201cIt\u2019s like a light rain that slowly seeps in,\u201d says Sara.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">People who feel heard<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most powerful impacts has been on the human side. The team now understands that measuring is a tool for improvement. This has created a dynamic of self-improvement, pride, and ownership. People \u201ccompete\u201d to improve results and know their ideas matter.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over 90% of improvement ideas from the shop floor are reviewed, and those that add value are implemented. That kind of active listening has fostered a sense of shared responsibility that has strengthened the company culture. \u201cThat\u2019s what we love the most,\u201d says Sara. It\u2019s not just about optimising processes\u2014it\u2019s about developing people.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose-driven leadership<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to operational improvements, leadership training for middle managers and the executive team has been key to the transformation. It\u2019s not just about skills\u2014it\u2019s about preparing teams to make decisions in a fast-changing environment. This mindset shift is essential for sustaining long-term improvement.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision to work with SGS PRODUCTIVITY came through a recommendation from another company in the agri-food sector that had already had a successful experience.
